Urgent members’ meeting: Environment Protection Agency’s lack of consultation and early termination of temporary contracts
We are calling a meeting of members to discuss the Environment Protection Agency’s lack of consultation regarding the early termination of temporary contracts. This issue is affecting our members directly and has serious implications for the workforce as a whole. It is critical we come together to determine our next steps.
This meeting is an opportunity for members to:
- Discuss the early termination of contracts and its impact on staff and workloads.
- Understand the PSA’s response and the steps being taken, including an urgent dispute lodged with the Industrial Relations Commission.
- Provide feedback and share concerns regarding the lack of consultation with affected employees and the broader workforce.
- Discuss how we can support one another through this process and what actions will be taken moving forward.
We urge all affected members, or anyone interested in the outcome, to attend. If you are unable to join us virtually, we have adjacent rooms booked on L.11, 6PSQ for in-person attendance.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions prior to the meeting.
