WHS: Improving safety and representation at your workplace
WHS – what every worker needs to know
Through information, discussion and practical exercises, we will:
- get to know the WHS law;
- look at duties, rights, and protections;
- find out the what, when and how of your employer’s duty to consult with workers;
- do a workplace inspection and risk assessment
- find out about HSRs – who they are, how to get them, and their powers and functions in the WHS space.
Day 2: 7 September
Dealing with Bullying and Mental Health
A WHS approach to dealing with bullying in the workplace.

- Who can help?
Stigma at work around mental health?
- Not sure how to help a colleague who is struggling?
- How do you cope with workplace stresses and change?
Learn some useful strategies to help you and others, to look after yourself and build personal resilience.
