Thank you for taking part in the RMS TIL survey – January.pdf

The PSA would like to thank everyone who took part in our recent RMS TIL survey. The huge number of responses we received to this survey is indicative of how large an issue this really is for staff.

As expected, the results of this survey were overall quite damning of the current TIL system and indicated many members of staff are working far and above their contract hours of employment. This would come as no surprise to most members of staff as we have heard countless reports of staff continually having to ‘throw away’ hours due to work pressures and the inability to bank these hours in either time-in-lieu or flex.

The PSA will continue to fight going forward to ensure that all hours of work are recognised. Having the quantifiable data that comes from this survey will assist us greatly in both working with management to develop better systems and in giving members the tools they need to have all hours they work credited.
