Last week, the PSA wrote to NSW Police with a 7-Day deadline for receiving a final reviewed Role Description, as advised in a previous bulletin available HERE.
This followed on from feedback submitted by the PSA in a final response to NSW Police on 7 June 2019 available HERE.
In response to this submission and the 7-day deadline from last week, NSW Police advised yesterday that they would not be able to meet this timeframe, but they intended to provide a response by the end of the month.
Members are understandably frustrated with the timeframe and have had enough of waiting for another meeting and another response.
In consultation with your delegates, the PSA has lodged a dispute in the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) due to the continued failure of NSW Police Force to agree to appropriate Capability Levels in the Role Description for the role of Special Constable and provide a final determination in a timely manner.
