Crown Solicitors Office Restructure – February 2019 (PDF version)
On Friday 15 February, the PSA submitted our response to the Crown Solicitor’s Office proposed ‘Service Improvement Program’. A copy of the submission can be found HERE.
Thank you very much to all the members who provided feedback. It was a great help in understanding the potentially disastrous impacts that this restructure could have on the daily operations of the CSO.
The restructure will see 4 jobs lost in Reception and Lodgement. The three current receptionist clerk grade 3/4 will be replaced with two corporate concierge clerks grade 1/2. Members feedback expressed that this will have a major impact on their work, for example Reception responds to telephone calls from the other party who may be irate, have a mental health issue, or be a vexatious litigant etc. Whereas, the new ‘Corporate Concierge’ role will not meet the demands of reception. Like dealing with irate members of the public, having corporate knowledge of the CSO and not performing specialised administration duties.
The PSA will be providing members with updates throughout this restructure.
