Meet YOUR New PSA Delegates: Election Results for the PSA’s NSW Police Departmental Committee
Over the last two months, the PSA has had nominations (and elections where applicable) for delegate positions on the NSW Police Departmental Committee, including the Special Constables Advisory Group and the Communications Advisory Group.
These groups are made up of 30 delegate positions from all across our membership in NSW Police and members are elected to the roles for two-year terms. The elected delegates meet quarterly and work with industrial staff to drive strategy and represent members.

We need YOU!
Unions like the PSA rely on active members and delegates to maintain adequate representation in workplaces and ensure information flows effectively between members in workplaces and PSA industrial staff.
Delegates are the union’s eyes and ears in the workplace and it’s critical that these roles provide that communication flow.
Interested members are strongly encouraged to nominate for any ongoing vacancies. If you don’t want to be on one of these delegate Committees but still want to get involved representing members and the PSA in your workplace, contact us today!
Attendance and Training
As an elected delegate, you will be entitled to Special Leave to attend the quarterly meetings of the relevant delegate group.
Furthermore, a reminder that all PSA members are entitled to 12 days of paid leave every two years for certain union activities, including union training.
The PSA can assist in developing your skills through courses such as Role of the Delegate and Dealing with Restructures. The full PSA training schedule is available HERE.
