Re-engineering consultation process
As members are aware, the PSA has been advised by NSW Police it will be part of the Re-engineering Taskforce, which is the consultation mechanism for the re-engineering process.
NSW Police has an obligation to consult with the PSA about workplace changes affecting our members. Consultation includes sharing information and the opportunity to have meaningful input into the outcome.
Consultation must occur before changes are made.
The PSA has been in contact with NSW Police about the consultation process and has been assured that this will commence in the near future. The PSA has not yet been advised of any specific proposals.
However, the PSA is receiving increasing membership feedback about proposals being discussed in the workplace that are likely to affect members. The PSA has told NSW Police there can be no changes without consultation.
The PSA will be working to protect your jobs and entitlements during this process.
The PSA seeks and encourages member feedback about any discussions in the workplace and any other matters of concern and is compiling membership feedback provided about re-engineering to ensure your interests will be raised during consultation.
The PSA thanks members for their ongoing engagement and will advise them through further bulletins as soon as there are any developments.
