Thank you to all the members who contributed to the PSA’s submission to management on its “Restructure Management Plan” for DFSI Corporate Affairs unit.
The PSA met with management at the end of the two-week consultation period to speak to our submission and clarify any points.
Primarily we raised concerns the proposed model that the business is relying on does not properly take into account the impacts that the loss of specialist roles (such as Grade 7/8 multicultural specialist) will have upon the delivery of services to the public.
Management has undertaken to consider and respond to this point as a priority.

Management gave initial verbal responses to each of the six items, however at the conclusion of the meeting they committed to providing a more comprehensive written response to all items once they had an opportunity to consider more fully our comments at this meeting.
We understand that this may be a difficult time for those whose roles are likely to be deleted from the new structure.
We will update members once a formal response is received.
