Service NSW Restructure update
PSA staff and delegate Trina Leask met with management on 31 October to continue discussions around the Service NSW restructure.
We note that a pause in the restructure for Christmas shutdown will be from 16 December, although it is possible for those already in mobility that the pause won’t start until 20 December depending on availability of roles.
We were advised that some staff from Wave 1 have already been matched to roles within Department of Customer Service (DCS).
Stage 1 has completed for Wave 2, with Expressions of Interest (Stage 2) now closed. As a result of the outage, extra time was given to complete EOIs.
For staff who did not get a role in Wave 2 stage 2, Service NSW is inviting you to email the realign recruitment email address if you are interested in any available temporary roles that will keep you employed in an ongoing basis until the end of the temporary period. You would then go into mobility. Emails will also be sent out with links to Role Descriptions for the temporary roles.
For those in the Wave 3 restructure, Stage 1 direct assignment has completed. Service NSW is discussing opportunities for impacted staff with other areas of DCS. An extension of time to submit EOIs in Stage 2 has been granted for those who have been caught up in the extra work being done for the Government. Stage 2 kicks off for 11/12s now with everyone else moving to stage 2 on 4 November 2024.
Service has arranged a separate briefing for impacted staff in 3 / 4 roles. People can choose to go into mobility straight away or wait for the rest of their colleagues and go in together.
PSA is continuing to monitor the situation. As well as regular meetings with Service NSW we have the restructure on the agenda for the quarterly Service Joint Consultative Committee meeting and the Peak Consultative Committee meeting with the Secretary. We will continue to update you as we go along. Should you have concerns about the restructure please contact your delegate in the first instance or member support on quoting call number 222602
