The PSA and delegates met with management about the realignment to Administration Shared Services – Security and Custody.

Management assured us that the purpose of the review and restructure was to ensure that staff undertake an equal share of workload and will not result in any redundancies or cost avoidance.

Staff will be responsible for their individual areas but will have the ability to assist their colleagues if they have capacity.

Flexible work options will remain an option and is subject to local consultation and agreement.

Provisions will be made to ensure that proper handovers are undertaken.

At this stage, no timeline has been set for the changes occur, with CSNSW stating a preference to ensure that staff feel secure in the new structure. CSNSW will ensure that consultation takes place with all people effected, either as a group or on an individual basis, depending upon the specific circumstances.
