Recent developments and culture review within the NSW Police Force

As you may be aware, ABC News has recently reported on allegations of a ‘toxic’ workplace culture, including bullying and sexism within the NSW Police Force (NSWPF). In response, Commissioner Karen Webb has appointed Kristen Hilton, former Victorian Equal Opportunity & Human Rights Commission, to lead a review of these issues.

The PSA, as a key stakeholder and the voice of thousands of front-line workers within the NSWPF, is actively seeking additional information about this review. We have contacted the NSWPF to inquire about the review’s:

• specific areas of focus
• expected duration
• opportunities for stakeholder input
• intended outcomes and implementation plans.
